Once again, Lina Khan is right. Google has already been found to have violated antitrust laws. Now, they’re trying to withhold access to their search function from schools that don't want to use their AI.

Big Tech needs to stop forcing AI on us - in schools and otherwise.

Google Will Turn Off Search for Schools That Reject A.I.

Google is making it easier to restrict its A.I. tools for students. But schools that block A.I. entirely will lose student access to Google’s search engine.

This bill is aimed directly at halting corrupt deals that make life less affordable. That's why I'm a proud original cosponsor.

All this corporate consolidation we're seeing is forcing YOU to pay higher prices. Folks can't afford for us to wait.

Per recent polling, 23% of Vermonters needed healthcare this year but didn’t get it because it was too expensive or far away.

The worst part? Trump's signature legislation made these existing challenges worse. We must urgently pass legislation that would address this crisis.

Grateful for this Rutland Herald editorial on our new report that outlines how the Trump admin’s weak antitrust enforcement and backroom deals are driving up costs.

We must chart a new path and ensure we’re protecting American consumers while keeping prices down.

RUTLAND HERALD
Editorial: Settling for less

Oct 24, 2026

Apparently, parts of America are certainly prospering.

This week, U.S. Rep. Becca Balint and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, of Massachusetts, released "Settling For Less: How Trump's Weak Antitrust Enforcement and Backroom Deals Are Driving Up Costs."

The report is a review of the second Trump administration's record of toothless antitrust settlements, dismissed enforcement actions, and widespread approval of massive corporate mergers, apparently creating a pay-to-play system that drives up costs and hurts consumers," according to a news release.

As I’ve been crisscrossing the state, I’ve gotten such lovely feedback about my morning walk and chat videos. I love them too because they connect me to the nature I call home and to the people I am so proud to work for ⛰️🍁🌳

Plenty more to come. Stay tuned!

A U.N. human rights panel has now, for a second time, found that Israel is committing genocidal acts in Gaza, this time doing so specifically since the “ceasefire” has been in place. They also say that Israel is committing crimes against humanity in the West Bank.

Here’s my full statement.

A U.N. human rights panel has now, for a second time, found that Israel is committing genocidal acts in Gaza, this time doing so specifically since the "ceasefire" has been in place. They also say that Israel is committing crimes against humanity in the West Bank. When we have a conclusive body of evidence in front of us, as we do here, I feel that I, as an elected official, have a moral responsibility to speak out. If our government still will not do so as a whole, that responsibility is even more important. This is why I originally did so in September 2025 and why so many Americans have come to the same conclusion on their own. My grandfather was murdered on a death
march from Mauthausen concentration camp in the last few weeks of World War II - my family knows the impact antisemitism can have when left unchecked firsthand. We must continue to stand up with a clear voice against the frightening rise of
antisemitism we're seeing at home and around the globe. We must speak out against antisemitism and hold Israel accountable for its actions. We can do both. We must do both. I want both a safe and secure Israel and a safe, secure independent Palestinian state. The fact is that the actions of the current Israeli government are not only not keeping people safe but are instead further isolating Israel on the world stage. In this moment, speaking truth and demanding change are the first steps on the path forward.
